Banderas and Travolta don't have wives that did both TV and indie films. All of Melanie's films were for mainstream studios. And John Travolta has a famous family. His mother was an actress. I think that Patricia Arquette and her husband fit the blind item better than anyone else.

Heath Ledger - I can't find many details on him other than his DOB & where he was born. But, Michelle Williams was on Dawson's Creek and then in movies. Although they aren't married, she refers to him as her "husband" and he refers to her as his fiancee.

Also, the man in the blind item is likely someone not as famous as Banderas and Freddie Prinze, whose lives have been examined over and over again. I still think the best guess is Thomas Jane, who has starred in some major movies, but still isn't well known.

I always thought Thomas Jane was really great looking, very sexy and yes in some movies he was chiseled.

The blind item says he changed his name after a stint in prison. As far finding the "public record" in what state would you begin your search? Besides, lots of actors have "public record" secrets. For instance, Janet Jackson was married for 9 years without the press knowing.
